More boats

Not the most scenic landscape but I love the stillness of the water and the boats reflected in it.

Australia's convict past

Port Arthur, Tasmania

From the early 1830s until the 1850s Port Arthur was a penal colony and what remains of the penitentiary is today one of Tasmania's main attractions. I find the contrast between the beautiful landscape and the dark history of the place quite fascinating.
