Martin Luther King mural on King StreetAccording to Wikipedia: it was painted by Andrew Aiken and Juilee Pryor using a donated cherry picker and $1000 worth of paint. Aiken and Pryor created this landmark " over two nights in August 1991, declaring it a "humanist protest against the sterility of postmodern art". It is a very good job they did on the wall. It isn't easy to make it look good on the scale and the surface they are working on. Nice photo.
Just proves that one should steer clear of Christianity!
I think its time I had a wander down that way - if only for Goulds.
I always know I'm in Newtown when I see this.
