Out and about in Newtown (3)

Martin Luther King mural on King Street

According to Wikipedia: it was painted by Andrew Aiken and Juilee Pryor using a donated cherry picker and $1000 worth of paint. Aiken and Pryor created this landmark " over two nights in August 1991, declaring it a "humanist protest against the sterility of postmodern art". You will find out more about this mural and street art in Newtown here, including on the tragic life story of Andrew Aiken.

It is a very good job they did on the wall. It isn't easy to make it look good on the scale and the surface they are working on. Nice photo.
